As a business lawyer, I help negotiate durable transactions and navigate challenges when presented. 

Over thirty years of private practice I have worked with senior leaders in a variety of industries to set strategy and implement solutions.   Quite often, this work has required navigating extremely challenging circumstances both in and out of court.   Past experience also includes work  in-house as corporate counsel at PTC  and a clerkship with a United States District Court judge.

I serve as a leader in various organizations relevant to my practice including:

  • American Bankruptcy Institute (Co-Chair, Mediation Committee and former Co-Chair, Emerging Industries and Technology Committee)
  • Boston Bar Association (former Co-Chair, Bankruptcy Section and current co-chair of the M. Ellen Carpenter Financial Literacy Program )
  • Turnaround Management Association (former Trustee, TMA Global and former President, Northeast Chapter)

I hold the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and serve as a member of InfraGard.  I speak and write regularly on a variety of commercial topics including  advocating for forward thinking as an essential component of effective business leadership.

My community volunteer efforts are concentrated on economic opportunity, education and youth development.   I serve on the Advisory Board  and volunteer for the Veteran Entrepreneurial Training and Resource Network.  Previous service included membership on the board of the George Washington University Law Alumni Association,  leadership of the Holy Cross Club of Boston as well as  the Holy Cross Lawyers Association.

My bar admissions include Massachusetts, New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.  I am listed on the Register of Mediators for the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the District of Delaware, the District of Massachusetts, and the Southern District of New York.
